Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy is the art of using essential oils to promote good health and wellbeing.
The oils are extracts from plant sources known to contain particular properties (the flowers, leaves, bark or roots of specific botanical species are used).
Each oil has its own unique character, set of therapeutic properties and smell.
Following consultation the oils are blended in a base oil, to create an individual, therapeutic mix tailored to your needs and applied to the skin in massage.
The oils can be used to address specific health issues as well as to promote relaxation and relief from stress.
Aromatherapy is often used to address stress and stress related conditions including:
• Skin problems
• Sluggish digestion or digestive disorders
• Anxiety
• Menstrual problems and P.M.S
• Headaches
• Colds & Coughs
• Aiding Detoxification
• Supporting immune system function
Oils can also be recommended for home use in between treatments to maximise positive effects. They can be used in the bath, vaporised, as well as in inhalation for example. . . please ask for advise.
I always use 100% pure essential oils. From sustainable sources, where possible.
